Bank switching service
Bank switching is a service that allows you to transfer your current account and/or regular payments from one bank to another. Only Belgian consumers who hold a current account with two different Belgian banks can use this service.
Under bank switching, you can request the following services:
- Transfer the balance from your other current account to your new ABN AMRO account
- Transfer regular payment orders and direct debits to your new ABN AMRO account
- Notify institutions where you regularly receive or pay money
- Close your other current account without having to contact your previous bank
Bank switch request
You always fill out a bank switch request at the bank to which you want to switch.
