What is Sustainable Investment Advice?

Sustainable Investment Advice is aimed at investors who consider sustainability important and who want to invest in companies that strive for a balance between people, the living environment and profit. With Sustainable Investment Advice you manage your investment portfolio together with your personal Investment Adviser.

We prefer diversified investments through sustainable investment funds or index products for a well-balanced investment portfolio. This portfolio is structured according to our investment vision on sustainable investing.

Does sustainable investing appeal to you, but would you prefer to place your own emphasis in your investment portfolio? That is also possible. The stocks and bonds we track are provided with a sustainability indicator. In this way, you can see which stocks fit your own sustainable vision.

For whom?

Sustainable Investment Advice is intended for investors at ABN AMRO Private Banking who do not want to make their investment decisions based on profit or loss alone. With Sustainable Investment Advice, you also take into account the prosperity and living conditions of future generations in your decisions.

What are the investment options?

Sustainable Investment Advice represents an investment portfolio that is evenly spread over the various asset classes.

  • You can invest in, among other things, stocks, corporate and government bonds, investment funds, trackers, impact funds and structured investment products.
  • You cannot invest in hedge funds and commodities. It is also not possible to invest in stocks with a ‘bad’ sustainability indicator.
  • Sustainable companies are often at the forefront of integrating sustainability into their business processes. Usually these companies are smaller than average. Therefore, a sustainable investment portfolio can be more volatile in the short term than other portfolios.

Investing involves risks

Investing can be interesting, but it also involves risks. You could lose part or all of your invested capital. That is why we recommend that you only invest money that you do not need immediately and that you always retain a buffer for unforeseen expenses. Furthermore, we advise you to only invest in investment products that you understand or with which you already have some experience. Read below about the most common risks of investing.
