Joachim Aelvoet is the new Country Executive of ABN AMRO in Belgium

Joachim Aelvoet started as a trainee at Fortis in 2004, working in Equity Funds Derivative Sales. After a period at the FSMA as a Financial Analyst, he moved to ABN AMRO Private Banking Belgium in 2012 as Senior Product Specialist. Since 2017, he has been Country Director Products & Solutions Belgium. The appointment as Country Executive heralds a new chapter of his rich career.Â
Joachim Aelvoet is delighted with his new position:
Sustainable entrepreneurship
In his previous role as Country Director Products & Solutions, Joachim Aelvoet was closely involved in the sustainable investment approach to which ABN AMRO is committed. One example is the Impact Mandate, launched in 2021, an extension of the existing sustainability strategy. This investment portfolio only includes companies that contribute positively to a better world. This way, clients gain a better knowledge of their impact with sustainable investments.
This focus on sustainable entrepreneurship remains an important strategic pillar for the bank, in addition to assisting entrepreneurs and their businesses. As such, the activities of the Private Bank and Corporate Bank, led by Aelvoet, will be further strengthened to continue connecting entrepreneurship and sustainability, building on ABN AMRO's strong focus on and expertise in sustainable development.
