As well as being a qualified commercial process analyst, Erik Joly holds a Master's degree in Commercial and Financial Sciences and a European Diploma in Financial Analysis. He also holds an MBA. Erik has more than 30 years of experience in private banking in both Belgium and Luxembourg. Before joining ABN AMRO Private Banking 5 years ago, he held management positions at Van Lanschot Bankers and Bank Degroof, among others. As the Head of the Investment Office, he is currently responsible for investment advice within ABN AMRO Belgium. As CIO, he is also a member of the Strategic Management Team. In that role, he is a welcome guest in broadcasting studios. For example, he is one of the regular in-house analysts at business channel Z, and was one of the most popular economists on VRT radio and TV last year. His contributions also appear regularly in print publications.
