How do I apply for Online Banking?
If you don’t already use ABN AMRO Online Banking, you can contact your trusted contact person/Private Banker. He/she will soon help you sign up for Online Banking.


Not already an ABN AMRO Private Banking client?
As Online Banking is part of our Private Banking service, we request you to make an appointment with one of our Private Bankers first.

How do I request an extra Digipass?
You can request an extra Digipass from your trusted contact person/Private Banker.
For info: the 1st and 2nd Digipasses are free. We charge €72.60 each for any further Digipasses.

Changes

How can I change my Online Banking Contract?
For any type of change, such as a change of account holders and powers, or to receive electronic statements, you can contact your trusted contact person/Private Banker.

How can I receive my statements electronically?
To request electronic statements, contact your trusted contact person/Private Banker.

How can I give someone access to my account information?
If you want to give someone else, such as your partner, access to your account information, you can contact your trusted contact person/Private Banker.

How can I change my PIN?
You can change your PIN yourself using the Digipass.

  1. Turn your Digipass on using the triangle.
  2. Enter your 5-digit PIN. If you make a mistake, use the triangle to correct it.
  3. Press the triangle for 3 seconds and then enter your new (5-digit) PIN.
  4. Re-enter your new PIN to confirm.
  5. “NEW PIN CONF”, immediately followed by “APPLI” in the display indicates that your PIN has been securely changed.

Problems logging in

Why doesn’t Online Banking open when I click on the ‘log in Online Banking’ button?
Pop-ups may be blocked in your browser. You can change this by switching off the pop-up blocker in your browser settings or only allowing pop ups for www.abnamroprivatebanking.be.
If you continue to experience problems, you should contact your trusted contact person/Private Banker.

What should I do if I’ve lost my Digipass?
If you’ve lost your Digipass or it is not working, you can contact your trusted contact person/Private Banker.

What should I do if I’ve forgotten my PIN?
After 5 wrong attempts at entering your PIN, your Digipass will be blocked and a 7-digit LOCK code will appear on your display. Keep this LOCK code handy and call our support desk. They can request a new PIN for you.

You can find your Digipass number on the back of your Digipass (the 10-digit number on the white sticker)

About using ABN AMRO Online Banking

Why can’t I download my statements/summaries from Online Banking?
You may not have Acrobat Reader installed on your PC. You can download Acrobat Reader free of charge from http://get.adobe.com/nl/reader/.
If you continue to experience problems, you should contact your trusted contact person/Private Banker.

How do I sign transactions with the Digipass?

  1. Turn your Digipass on using the triangle.
  2. Enter your 5-digit PIN. If you make a mistake, use the triangle to correct it.
  3. Select APPLI2 by pressing 2.
  4. In Online Banking you will see two 6-digit codes.
  5. Enter the first check digit on your Digipass. Then enter the second check digit on your Digipass.
  6. Your Digipass will generate an 8-digit code. Enter the code online (as response) and click “confirm”.

Your transaction is now securely signed.
